R obert F. Hunt was licensed as a funeral director in 1936 and went to work with his father. He left the business to serve in the US Navy during WWII. Upon returning he came back to work at the funeral home. He was very active in the community serving on the school board, helping start the professional ambulance service, and as a police commissioner. He was married to Cora Nichols, they had three children Bill, Roberta, and Thomas.
