John R. Flaurr of Crawfordsville died Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was 49. Mr. Flaurr worked in the maintenance department for Wabash College. He was a member of Grace & Mercy Ministries. He graduated in 1982 from Southmont High School. He was born March 6, 1963, at Crawfordsville, to Ronald and Barbara (Tate) Flaurr. He married Kay McElwee on June 27, 1981. She survives. Other survivors include: his mother of Crawfordsville; sons, Ronald (Jessica) and Jeffery (Courtney), both of Crawfordsville; brother Ronald Jr. (Lucy) of Crawfordsville; sister Shelly (Lewis) Lowe of Crawfordsville; and five grandchildren. His father and a grandchild are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., with Pastor Nathan Miller officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
